Ice & Pizza

Sundays EYC event included 12 youth & 3 adults skating at the Ice Center at Northwoods! I know there were many weary glances at our choice of this months activities.... kids, skates & ice... not always a great combo! Well I am happy to report no one got "hurt" during trip!
Yep believe it or not, no one was injured... though we did have a few falls -- cough, cough - Stanley & Danny! Okay truth be known... I fell once! We all did really well!

So enjoy the picts (thanks Mrs. Wells)!

Awww.... smile!

Going.... going....

"Wait! believe me I am really fragile... you wouldn't want to run me over!"

"Okay... now how do you stop?"

Yes that's right.... for all of you who weren't aware... Joe Cool goes to our church under the assumed name of Brian Wells!

Nothing quiet like a father/daughter dance!

How many kids does it take to teach a youth minister to ice skate?

And Colin gets ready to go for the gold with a Figure Eight!

Okay something tells me these kids know what they are doing!

"Santa, we promise we've all been REALLY good this year!"

After ice skating we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza & games! By the way, just so you know.... we did set ground rulesfor our trip to Chuck E. Cheese. I am happy to let you know none of our kids ran over anyone under the age of 5 while playing in the arcade!
(6 and up were fair game! - just kidding!)

Future Skee Ball Champ?

No time like the present to get ready for Drivers' Ed?

How many youth members does it take to cash in tickets?

one to cash in, one to make sure he does is right, and two as look outs!

As always we had a blast! and we want to thank all of St. Andrew's for the continued support!

Parish Weekend

This post is a tad bit late... but as they say: better late than never!

The weekend of November 11 - 13, 2005, St. Andrew's invaded Camp Capers for our annual Parish Retreat. This year Saints & Sinners (our young adults group) led the weekend. Our theme of "We are Family" was perfect! We talked about our immediate family, our church family and our Christian family. Each such an important part of all of our lives.

We played games,

learned tons about each other
,
came to realize each of us brings something to the church,

sang songs,

ate some great food (thanks Hect Family!)

started a puzzle,

worked on a puzzle,

finished a puzzle,

showcased our acting talents,

had a pajama party,

had our own special Sunday service,

smiled tons (some of us even shed a few tears),

and had a wonderful weekend.

To all those who were there... thanks for being a part of an amazing weekend.
For those who couldn't make it.... there's always next year!
